So far, we focused on the role of BPM in the enterprise ecosystem. In chapter one, we indicated that the adaptive enterprise evolved from a number of continuous improvement methodologies, especially Lean Six Sigma. BPM is a powerful approach for optimized business applications. In this chapter, we will focus on how enterprises can achieve Lean and Six Sigma (LSS) efficiencies through BPM. More specifically, we will show how enterprises can keep processes under control, remove waste, and achieve all the LSS objectives in real-time.
